My favorite book that I read from last trimester
was Safe Haven. I’m still currently reading it but it’s a really good
book and I like it a lot. It’s very detailed and uses a lot of imagery which is
something I enjoy reading in any book. Nicholas Sparks (author) did a great job
in writing this Safe Haven it’s kind of shocking that a male writer can write
this good of a romantic/adventurous novel because usually males write action
type books.
I also enjoy reading Safe Haven because the
situation that’s going on in the book can happen in real life. Basically what I’m
talking about is that in the book, Katie (a main character) is being
stalked/hunted down by Kevin (her husband) and he will do anything in his power
to get her back. Even if that means using your job (he’s a policeman) and
entering her as a murderer even though she didn’t do anything to break the law.
He wants her so bad to the point where he is taking advantage of his job and
doing something illegal. This adds an interesting factor to the book and
because of that it’s difficult to put down!
