Checkpoint #3 Reading skills

I predict that Safe Haven will be a jaw dropping book full of mystery and romance. ”At one of them was a young couple and she’d seen the rings on their fingers as they held hands across the table. They were attractive and happy, and she felt a sense of déjà vu. She had been like them once, a long time ago, for just a moment. Or so she thought, because she learned the moment was only an illusion.”  (Sparks, 5)

Since I have seen the movie I’m really interested in the book as well. All my friends have said nothing but good things so I hope I won’t be disappointed. I wonder though how a male came to write a romantic novel. Because usually male writers write about action filled book but Nicholas Sparks didn't do that. Has he written other books that have more adventure and action in them? However, this book shows that the main character is running away from her problems and that reminds me of other people who I know who have done this before. This book also reminds me of how stalkers can get very aggressive and can hurt you and people around you just to get what they want, stalkers are in everyday life. Finally, this book reminds me of Crossed in a way because they are both about romance and having struggles but in the end coming out stronger then you were before.
